KIEV, May 6 – A number of events have been scheduled in Ukraine to mark the Time of Remembrance and Reconciliation, and the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazism in World War II, deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Rostyslav Pavlenko said.
"For the first time Ukraine, along with the other democratic states, will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazism in Europe, which is a tradition for European states. May 8 is the Time of Remembrance and Reconciliation, May 9 is the Victory Day. On September 2, we will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the end of the World War II," he said at a briefing in Kiev on Wednesday.
