KIEV, May 5 – The wildfire on the grounds of the Chernobyl Puscha special enterprise in the Chernobyl exclusion zone has been extinguished, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service announced.

"At 10.30 on April 29, the fire was contained. At 09.00 on May 2, the fire was extinguished," the agency said on its website, in the section of updates on the fire that broke out on April 28.

According to the agency, its teams and forestry workers are observing and combing through the high-risk fire area.
