KIEV, April 2 – Ukrainian thermal power generation is on the verge of collapse due to the actions of senior officials of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry and the National Commission of Ukraine for Energy and Housing and Utilities Services Regulation, DTEK said in a statement.
"Due to actions of the ministry and the regulator Ukrainian thermal power generation is on the verge of collapse. False accusations against a 130,000-employee company do not promote the consolidation of efforts that the Ukrainian energy sector requires to pass the crisis. DTEK believes that the attempts of transferring responsibility for the crisis situation in the thermal power complex onto private business are inadmissible. DTEK absolutely disagrees with the accusations made by the minister," reads the statement.
