KIEV, March 31 – Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal made by the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry to introduce one-month emergency measures in Ukraine's electricity sector for the sixth time, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
At the same time, the Cabinet demanded that order be brought to the market.
"I am extremely dissatisfied: the extension of the emergency measures reflects the real situation in the energy sector. Debts are worth [UAH] 2.5 billion now; there is a mess with payments with the power suppliers. And, as always, we've run out of coal," Yatseniuk said when opening a Cabinet meeting in Kiev on Tuesday.
