SIMFEROPOL, March 30 - The Crimean authorities do not intend to revisit the results of the privatization of enterprises carried out on the Black Sea peninsula before it became part of Russia, Crimean leader Sergei Aksyonov said during a personal reception in the audience hall of the Russian president in Simferopol.
"We will not reconsider privatization on a mass scale. Prior to March 16 [2014, the date of Crimea's referendum on self-determination] we had one history; we cut it off. Where deals were hones and Ukrainian legal documents were received for assets and after this, there were honest owners who overhauled these assets and now operate them and pay taxes, we won't reconsider such decisions. This will just lead to paralysis and we will fall into a process from which we will not soon emerge," Aksyonov said.
