KIEV, March 27 – Ukraine's Office of the Prosecutor General will seek a court order on Saturday to extend the detention term for two former senior government figures who are suspected of corruption and whose current 72-hour term of custody expires at noon that day, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said on Friday.
Serhiy Bochkovsky and Vasyl Stoyetsky were arrested at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday on suspicion of corruption and were immediately fired as head and deputy head of the State Service for Emergency Situations.
