KIEV, March 19 – Ukraine is asking its western partners to help it close the uncontrolled sections of the state border with Russia in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

"The government of Ukraine commends the efforts of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande during the Minsk talks, to push Russia towards the right decisions. We ask them to support us in sealing the border," Yatseniuk told the BBC during his working visit to Brussels on Thursday.
