KIEV, March 18 – Parliament has supported a presidential draft resolution on appealing to the UN Security Council and the Council of the European Union to launch an international peacekeeping operation in Ukraine.
The decision was backed by 341 MPs on Tuesday.
In its appeal to the UN Security Council, the Verkhovna Rada called for "launching relevant procedures regarding the deployment of a UN international operation to maintain peace and security in the territory of Ukraine, the specific conditions of which will be determined during consultations with the Ukrainian side in accordance with established procedures."
