KIEV, March 13 – President Petro Poroshenko has put in force the February 18 resolution of the National Security and Defense Council on additional measures to strengthen national security in the current "special period," the president's office said in a statement issued on Thursday.

One of the measures is setting up a 'Military Cabinet' to be the council's executive body.

Under the resolution, the main duties of the Military Cabinet include evaluating the armed forces' personnel and armaments requirements, deciding what logistic, energy, financial, information and other resources Ukraine needs, and finding out what military aid should be sought from foreign countries and international organizations.
