KIEV, March 10 – President Petro Poroshenko said Ukrainian troops have managed to stop the enemy offensive in eastern Ukraine.
"Indeed, we can state that we have managed to stop the attacks and offensive operations of the aggressor," Poroshenko said in an interview with Pershyi Natsionalnyi Channel on Monday night.
The army has pulled back most of its rocket launchers and heavy artillery guns, the president said. "We can see that the militants, backed by Russia, have pulled back a substantial part [of their weapons] too," he said.
