MOSCOW, Feb. 25 - The delivery of U.S. weapons to Ukraine may start a new world war, 42% of respondents told the Russian Public Opinion Study Center (VTsIOM).

Another 18% believe that such deliveries will fuel the Ukraine conflict, while 1% predicts deterioration of Russia's relations with Ukraine and the United States, the destruction of the Ukrainian state and the beginning of an arms race.

Some 33% of 1,600 respondents polled in 132 populated localities in 46 regions on February 14-15 were undecided.
