KIEV, Jan. 13 ??“ Ukraine will seek to intensify cooperation with Central Asian countries by boosting cooperation in oil and gas extraction and building pipelines for increased exports overseas, President Viktor Yushchenko said Friday.

The comments come two days after Yushchenko has returned from Kazakhstan, when he had discussed energy issues during talks with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
