KIEV, Jan. 13 - Ukraine recorded a $1.3 bln deficit in trade with goods in the first eleven months of 2005, compared with a surplus of $3.4 bln for the same period a year ago, as a strengthened hryvnia boosted demand for imports.
The deficit widened from $1.02 bln reported in Jan-Oct 2005 due to increasing imports of energy, such as natural gas and crude oil, the committee said.
