Foreign ministry drafts proposals for terminating Russia friendship treaty

KYIV, March 14 – Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) prepared proposals and analysis as for the suspension or termination of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership with the Russian Federation; it is also analyzing agreements within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

KIEV, March 15 – There will be no surprises in the memorandum of cooperation between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) that will be published after the decision of the IMF Board to provide the new tranche to Ukraine, Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk said.


NSDC supporting transport blockade of rebel-controlled areas

KIEV, March 15 – The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine has supported a temporary cessation of transport ties with the Russian occupied areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions in connection with the seizure of Ukrainian-managed enterprises and escalation in the “Anti-Terrorist Operation zone,” NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said.

KIEV, March 11 - Monetary base in Ukraine, after contracting by 0.3% in the previous month, decreased by 2% in February, to UAH 328.541 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.
