EC official expresses hope that Ukraine will make gas payments

BRUSSELS, Nov. 12 - The European Commission has been made aware about the payment for Russian gas made by Ukraine last week and is hoping Ukraine will continue to make timely payments in the future.


Fitch lowers its Ukraine rating, citing wage and pension hikes

LONDON, Nov. 12 - Fitch Ratings has lowered the long-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings (IDR) on Ukraine to "B-" from "B.”

The outlook on the ratings is negative.

The country ceiling rating was lowered to "B-" from "B" and the short-term foreign currency IDR was affirmed at "B".
