Tillerson calls on UkrainE to fulfill promises ON anti-corruption court

KYIV, Dec 13 - Rex Tillerson, the U.S. Secretary of State, calls on the Ukrainian government to fulfill its early promises regarding the creation of an anti-corruption court and to continue other reforms, officials of the State Department for International Relations said at the hearings in the Senate Committee.


Canada allows defense contractors to sell lethal weapons to Ukraine

OTTAWA, Dec. 13 - Canada said on Wednesday that defense contractors would be allowed to sell weapons such as automatic firearms and electric stun guns to Ukraine, a move the government in Kyiv has long pressed for, Reuters reported.

Ukrainians still split on NATO membership, according to poll

KIEV, Dec. 14 - Nearly half of Ukrainians - 47.2% - would vote for Ukraine's accession to NATO, and 33.6% are against such accession, as is seen from a public opinion poll conducted by the SOCIS social and marketing survey center and the Rating sociological group.


Poll: Most Ukrainians believe a repeat of Maidan protests is likely

KIEV, Dec. 14 – Some 16.9% of Ukrainians polled said a repeat of the Maidan protests is "very likely" in the near future, while 38.3% said "likely," according to a sociological survey conducted by the Socis Center for Social and Marketing Research and the Rating sociological group.
