KYIV, Aug 15 - A prolonged war is becoming increasingly likely, and this prospect requires a review of the country's macroeconomic strategy, in particular, the current set of policies leading to reduction of forex reserves is becoming increasingly untenable, said a group of international and Ukrainian economists.

Ukraine repels more than dozen attacks
KYIV, Aug 15 - The Ukrainian military said Monday that it had repelled more than a dozen Russian attacks in the country’s east and north, including attempts to advance on key cities in the eastern industrial heartland known as the Donbas.

EU, 42 nations urge Russia to withdraw from Zaporizhia nuclear power plant
KYIV, Aug 15 – The European Union and 42 states of the world issued a statement in which they called on Russia to immediately withdraw its troops from Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (NPP) in the town of Enerhodar, Zaporizhia region and not interfere with the operator and the Ukrainian authorities to fulfill their obligations on nuclear and radiation safety, and the International the Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to carry out its mandate.

KYIV, Aug 16 – A video surveillance footage taken at the home of Konstantin Pavlov, a mayor of Kryviy Rih who was found dead on Sunday, shows presence of no other people nearby, a local police chief said Monday.

91.5% of Ukrainians say no COVID-19 cases among family, friends
