KIEV, Sept. 14 – The European Union told Ukraine Friday to quickly form a government after the Sept. 30 election and to focus on economic and political reforms needed for boosting cooperation with the 27-nation bloc.


Russia uses North Korean ballistic missiles to kill two in Kyiv region

KYIV, Aug 11 – A Russian drone and missile barrage on Kyiv on Sunday killed two people, including a 4-year-old boy. Russia attacked Ukraine with four ballistic missiles supplied by North Korea and 57 Shahed drones, Ukraine’s air force said. Air defenses shot down 53 of the drones.

Fitch downgrades Ukraine's credit rating to ‘restricted default’

KYIV, Aug 15 – The international rating agency Fitch Ratings on Saturday night downgraded Ukraine's foreign-currency long-term issuer default rating (IDR) from "C" to "RD" (restricted default), while the Standard & Poor's agency downgraded Ukraine's foreign-currency long-term and short-term ratings from "CC/" to "SD/SD" (selective default).
