Yanukovych demands ‘customs measures’ replace expiring grain quotas

KIEV, March 29 – President Viktor Yanukovych has demanded that after March 31, when the quotas on grain exports expire, that a document be drafted to replace them, if necessary, with customs measures, said Iryna Akimova first deputy head of Ukraine's presidential administration.

KIEV, March 29 – The Thai army command is to buy 200 Oplot main battle tanks from Ukraine, the Thai Bangkok Post has reported.

The value of the potential deal is estimated at about $230 million. Tank procurement is part of a 10-year package of weapons purchases the government recently approved for the army, reads the newspaper.
