Artillery rounds heard across Donetsk as Kiev warns of rebel offensive

DONETSK, Nov. 16 - Fresh volleys of artillery fire were heard across many parts of the separatist stronghold of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine on Sunday, a Ukrainian government statement said, after Kiev warned again of rebel preparations for a fresh offensive, Reuters reported.

Next payment for Russian natural gas will reflect new prices, says PM

KIEV, Nov. 16 - Ukraine’s next payment for Russian natural gas due in early December will be made according to new, lower gas prices that are negotiated between the two governments, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said Wednesday.

Ukraine is due to pay before December 7 for gas supplies in November. Ukraine last week paid $1.004 billion for Russian gas supplies in October.
