Supreme Economic Court judge detained on charges of bribery

KIEV, March 25 – Supreme Economic Court Judge Viktor Shvets has been detained while receiving a bribe, the chief of Ukraine's State Security Service Oleksandr Tkachuk told Interfax-Ukraine.


Ukrainians move to impose individual sanctions for Savchenko case

KIEV, March 25 – The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council decided at a meeting on Friday to impose personal sanctions on individuals involved in unlawful actions against Ukrainian serviceperson and parliamentarian Nadia Savchenko, moviemaker Oleh Sentsov, and other Ukrainians held in detention in Russia.


Poroshenko appeals to EU Human Rights chief for prisoner release

Parliament approves dismissal of Ukrainian Prosecutor General

KIEV, March 29 – Parliament has agreed with President Petro Poroshenko's motion to dismiss Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin.

Prosecutor moves to extend detention for pols collared at Cabinet

KIEV, March 27 – Ukraine's Office of the Prosecutor General will seek a court order on Saturday to extend the detention term for two former senior government figures who are suspected of corruption and whose current 72-hour term of custody expires at noon that day, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said on Friday.
