Blinken: U.S. aid to make real difference

KYIV, May 14 - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken sought Tuesday to rally the spirits of glum Ukrainians facing a fierce new Russian offensive, assuring them during a visit to Kyiv that they are not alone and that billions of dollars in American military aid on its way after months of political delays will make a “real difference” on the battlefield.


Most Ukrainians support boosting spending on security and defense sector

KYIV, May 15 – The majority of Ukrainians have a positive attitude towards the possibility of changing the state budget priorities for the long term in favor of strengthening the security and defense sector: the Armed Forces, other law enforcement agencies, and the defense industry, according to the results of a national survey conducted on March 21-27 by the Razumkov Center and presented at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.


Ukraine withdraws from some Kharkiv areas

Black Sea grain exports deal to be extended for 2 months, Erdogan says

KYIV, May 17 – The Black Sea Grain Initiative will function for another two months, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said on Wednesday.

"Through the efforts of our country, the support of our Russian friends and the contribution of our Ukrainian friends, a decision was made to extend the Black Sea Grain Initiative for another two months," he said on Twitter on Wednesday.
