BRUSSELS, Feb 18 – Ukraine's foreign minister asked the European Union on Monday for hundreds of millions of euros in loans and aid for infrastructure and businesses in its troubled east and south, regions he said Russia was trying to "suffocate," Reuters reported. |

Ukrainians and Russians resolve impasse over truck traffic suspensions
KIEV, Feb. 17 - The Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry has reached agreement with the Russian Transport Ministry that Ukrainian semi-trailer trucks which have been stuck in Russian territory or in some Asian countries because of Russia's decision to suspend their transit passage across its territory will be able to go home unimpeded. |

Government hoping for IMF help in March, says finance minister
KIEV, Feb. 17 – The operational plan of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement of the International Monetary Fund foresees that if Ukraine fulfills all preliminary measures and if the EFF is approved by the IMF Executive Board, a first disbursement will be sent to the country in the first or second week of March, Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said. |
