U.S. House of Representatives committee seeks to boost Ukraine program in 2019

KYIV, June 18 - The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations has proposed to increase the sum of assistance provided to Ukraine via the programs of the U.S. Department of State and Pentagon for the 2019 fiscal year, the Ukrainian Embassy to the United States reported.

Thousands turn out for LGBT Pride march

KIEV, June 18 - Thousands of people marched through Ukraine's capital Sunday in support of LGBT rights and equality. The marchers were joined by several foreign diplomats and politicians in what organizers say is the largest Pride event the country has seen yet, National Public Radio reported.

Ukraine ships fifth batch of Oplot-T battle tanks to Thailand

KIEV, June 16 – Ukraine has shipped to Thailand the fifth batch of new main battle tank Oplot-T, consisting of five tanks built at the facilities of state-owned Malyshev Machine-Building Plant (Kharkiv) under a $240 million contract signed in 2011.
