Europe mulls peacekeeping force for Ukraine
KYIV, March 20 - Senior military officers from more than 30 countries across Europe and beyond met in England on Thursday to flesh out plans for an international peacekeeping force for Ukraine as details of a partial ceasefire are worked out.

U.S. announces $350-mln military assistance package for Ukraine
KYIV, March 20 – The United States is allocating another package of military assistance to Ukraine, its volume will amount to $350 million, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday.
“Today, pursuant to a delegation of authority from President Biden, I am authorizing our 34th drawdown of U.S. arms and equipment for Ukraine valued at $350 million,” the statement reads.

Russia plans to hold U.N. meeting on Ukrainian children

World Bank, Ukraine agree on $100-mln emergency assistance
KYIV, March 18 – Ukraine and the World Bank have agreed on emergency assistance in the field of higher education in the amount of almost $100 million, which will allow the payment of academic scholarships for 172,000 students and social scholarships for 50,000 students of scholarship programs in the 2021-2022 academic year, the World Bank said on Friday night.

Syrian mercenaries may be joining Russian troops in Ukraine
KYIV, March 18 – Mercenaries of the army of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad and Hezbollah may take part in Russia's invasion of Ukraine on the side of Moscow, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which said some of the fighters are experienced.

Zelensky invokes emergency powers, ban pro-Russian parties
