Stronger hryvnia will shave 0.5% off economic growth in 2021: report

KYIV, July 29 – The strengthening of the hryvnia in 2021 from projected UAH 29.10/$1 to UAH 28-27/$1 will cost the economy 0.2-0.5% of GDP, the Ministry for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture said in an explanatory note to the draft resolution with a revised macroeconomic forecast for the next three years.


Ukraine’s economy to expand at faster pace in 2021, ministry forecasts

KYIV, July 29 – Ukraine’s economy will resume economic growth next year and is expected to expand at 4.6% in 2021, followed by 4.3% growth in 2022, a faster growth than has been earlier projected, according to the Economic Development Ministry.
