Ukraine records first monthly population increase in 19 years
KIEV, Nov. 19 – Ukraine's current population was 45,559,235 people as of October 1, 2012, while the permanent population was 45,378,880 people, which was 177 people more than on September 1, 2012, the State Statistics Service stated on its official Web site. |

The state should retain Turboatom, Yushchenko tells plant workers
KHARKIV, Nov. 20 – The state should retain control of Kharkiv-based Turboatom, said President Viktor Yushchenko.
"We're not going to give this company to anyone, as the company is our flagship," the president said, speaking at the plant on Wednesday.
He said that Kharkiv-made turbines are operating in dozen of states, adding that the plant's products are in very short supply and demand for them is always present. |

Gazprom may hike natgas tab 122% in 2009
