Pressure from authorities continues, says Ukraine’s TVi Channel
KIEV, Aug. 21 – Ukraine's TVi Channel has said that the pressure on the channel by the authorities continues.
"The Tax Service continues impeding our work. More and more regional providers have been disconnecting TVi Channel from their networks due to censorship by the authorities," the Channel said in a statement on its official Web site on Monday. |

Yulia confession would not invalidate contracts, lawyers say
KIEV, Aug. 19 – Any admission of guilt by Yulia Tymoshenko that she exceeded her powers when holding Ukrainian-Russian gas talks in 2009 would not be legal grounds for the revision of contracts signed between Naftogaz Ukrayiny and Gazprom, according to lawyers polled by Interfax-Ukraine.

Ukraine and IMF agree on revenue targets, according to official
KIEV, Aug. 19 – Ukraine has agreed the revenue side of its draft state budget for 2012 with the International Monetary Fund, whereas proposals for the expenditure side are currently being discussed, First Deputy Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova said at a briefing in Kiev on Friday.
