UEFA has invested EUR500 million in Euro 2012, says local official

KIEV, Nov. 22 – The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has invested around EUR 500 million in Ukraine and Poland for organization of the Euro 2012 European Championship, Director of the Euro 2012 Local Organizing Committee in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky said.

The law was initially adopted on June 23, but it was not signed and put up for new voting to eliminate inaccuracies in amendments to the law on the taxation of company profits.

KIEV, Nov. 20 – President Viktor Yushchenko has called on political forces to unite to meet commitments to the International Monetary Fund.

"The president is calling on all political forces to unite to completely fulfil [Ukraine's] commitments to the IMF," Presidential Secretariat First Deputy chief Oleksandr Shlapak said at a meeting between the head of state and the G7 ambassadors.
