KIEV, Nov. 29 – President Viktor Yanukovych has created national commissions that regulate the communications, information and energy sectors, liquidating the National Communications Regulatory Commission and the National Energy Regulatory Commission.


Ukraine lowers 2012 GDP growth forecast

KIEV, Nov. 29 - Ukraine, conceding that the global economic slowdown will have a major impact on its vital export industries, on Tuesday cut its forecast for economic growth next year to about 4% from an earlier estimated 5.5%.


Yanukovych invites Polish president for state visit next year

KIEV, Nov. 28 – Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski has been invited to make a state visit to Ukraine in 2012.

"We are planning to continue the dynamics of our bilateral relations in future. We hope to welcome Mister President Komorowski during a state visit to Ukraine in 2012," Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said during a joint press conference with the Polish president in Kiev on Monday.


RosUkrEnergo to seek $500 million in damages from Naftogaz Ukrayiny

KIEV, Nov. 29 - RosUkrEnergo plans to seek $500 million in damages from Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the Ukrainian publication Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) said, citing sources.

The claims will be examined in Stockholm arbitration in March 2011.
