NATO sees Russia’s casualties at 40,000
KYIV, March 23 - NATO estimates that up to 15,000 Russian troops have been killed since the Kremlin's attack on Ukraine began last month, with as many as 40,000 dead, wounded, taken prisoner or missing.

IMF says Ukraine’s economy may contract 33% due to war destruction
KYIV, March 22 – The Ukrainian economy is suffering greatly from the war unleashed by Russia, the decline in its GDP could be a third of what it was before the war, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said in a Foreign Policy Live discussion on Tuesday.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights: 2,510 civilian deaths in Ukraine
KYIV, March 18 – The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has documented 2,510 civilian casualties (2,421 a day before) in the country, including 953 (925) killed (from February 24 when the Russia invaded Ukraine to 24:00 midnight on March 21, 2022 (local time).

34% of Ukrainians trust President Zelenskiy, while 62% don’t, poll finds
KYIV, March 22 – Every third Ukrainian polled (34%) trusts incumbent President Volodymyr Zelensky, and 29% are ready to vote for him if the elections were held next Sunday, according to a sociological poll conducted from March 3 to March 13 by the Ukrainian Institute for the Future (UIF).

Ukraine tightens border controls over COVID
KYIV, March 23 - Ukraine is tightening border controls and requiring visitors to test negative for coronavirus, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said on Tuesday, after the country registered its highest daily death rate from COVID-19, Reuters reported.
