KIEV, Oct. 23 – Ukraine's GDP growth should accelerate in the second half of 2013, First Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov said.

"It is expected that in the second half of the year the pace of economic processes will improve, but the country will not manage to fully cover the influence of weak demand. This year GDP will grow," Arbuzov said in comments that were sent to Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday, October 22.


EP considering conditional approval for Ukraine association deal

BRUSSELS, Oct. 22 – The European Parliament may recommend the EU Council should sign the Association Agreement with Ukraine if Kiev meets all the necessary conditions.

This is stated in the draft resolution entitled "The European Neighborhood Policy: towards a strengthening of the partnership. Position of the European Parliament on the 2012 reports," which will be put on vote at a meeting of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
