Prosecutor general halts criminal probes after suspects go on the lam

KIEV, April 22 – The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has explained that the criminal cases against former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka, his former deputy Renat Kuzmin, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Yakymenko and former head of the National Bank of Ukraine Ihor Sorkin have been suspended due to the fact that these people are hiding from justice, but their cases have not been closed.
