Ukraine should refuse to fight inflation, trade deficit, study says

KIEV, Nov. 24 – The Ukrainian government should refuse to actively fight inflation and the deficit of the balance of trade, as the weakening of the hryvnia and considerable inflation in the country are inevitable, experts from the Institute for Study of Russia and the Expert business magazine said in a joint statement.


Ukraine expects to raise $500 million from World Bank development loan

KIEV, Nov. 26 – Ukraine expects to raise $500 million from the World Bank as a part of the third Development Policy Loan (DPL-III).

The raising of the loan as a part of the DPL-III is foreseen in a cabinet resolution No. 1,455-r of Nov. 19, which was posted on the Web site of the Ukrainian government.
