Russia-Ukraine relations ‘through the crisis,’ Medvedev says
KIEV, April 26 - Moscow and Kiev have enough topics for discussion, and their relationship crisis is over, said Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
"One thing is absolutely certain: our relations are through the crisis, both inter-personal and economic one," Medvedev said at a meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Tuesday. |
Didenko, Makarenko lawyers want to combine cases with Tymoshenko’s
KIEV, April 27 - The defense lawyers of Ihor Didenko, a deputy chairman of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, and Anatoliy Makarenko, a former chief of the Ukrainian State Customs Service, believe the criminal cases against their clients could be combined with a criminal case against former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko regarding Ukrainian-Russian gas supply contracts concluded in 2009. |
Government warns against Syria travel, calls for end to violence
KIEV, April 27 – The Foreign Ministry has issued a recommendation that Ukrainians refrain from traveling to Syria due to the worsening of the security situation in the country.
The ministry also expressed concern about violence that has lead to deaths of protestors in Syria. |
