Yushchenko reports UAH1.048 million of income for last year

KIEV, March 30 – President Viktor Yushchenko has declared a total of UAH 1.041 million in income for 2008, his press service reported on Monday.

The president's dividends, interests and royalties totaled UAH 549,040, whereas his salary was UAH 492,020.

Last year's income of Yushchenko's family totaled UAH 549,320, including around UAH 93,400 in dividends, interests, and royalties, and around UAH 466,000 as revenue from entrepreneurship and independent professional activities.


Ukraine to sell UAH4.5 billion of greenhouse emissions to Japan

KIEV, March 30 – Ukraine will receive UAH 4.5 billion, or $560 million in the U.S. dollar equivalent, from the sale of greenhouse gas emissions quotas to Japan, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said on Saturday on her visit to Japan.

"Contracts have been signed, the first transfers will arrive in April," she said.
