KYIV, Aug 30 - Ukraine claimed to have destroyed bridges and ammunition depots and pounded command posts in a surge of fighting in the Russian-occupied south, fueling speculation Tuesday that its long-awaited counteroffensive to try to turn the tide of war is underway.

KYIV, Aug 30 – More than a third (36%) of Ukrainian refugees living abroad plan to return to Ukraine after they are convinced that it is safe to be in the area where they lived, according to the results of a sociological survey "Attitudes and Assessments of Ukrainian Refugees" conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center on July 20 through August 25, 2022.
