Poroshenko opens radio, television broadcasting station in Luhansk
BAKHMUTIVKA, Aug 21 – President Petro Poroshenko opened a new radio and television broadcasting station in Bakhmutivka in the Luhansk region on Tuesday, which will ensure the broadcasting of Ukrainian TV and radio channels in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region. |
Ukraine cabinet approves €100 million loan deal with Poland
KIEV, Aug. 27 – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the signing of an agreement with the Polish government on the provision of a loan by Poland under tied aid conditions.
According to cabinet resolution No. 855-r of August 19, 2015, Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko has been authorized to sign the agreement. |
Ukraine reaches deal with most creditors
KIEV, Aug. 27 - Ukraine reached what its finance minister called a "win-win" deal with its largest group of creditors to ease repayments on its $18 billion debt, winning breathing space for an economy drained by the cost of fighting with pro-Russian separatists, Reuters reported.

Ukrainians warn Europe of possible cutoff of Russian natgas supplies
KIEV, Aug. 27 - Ukraine warned Europe on Wednesday that Russia could cut off gas to the continent this winter, but Moscow responded that the supply of gas would continue regardless of politics, Reuters reported.
Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk said Kiev knew of Russian plans to halt gas flows this winter to Europe, comments that were promptly denied by Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak. |
