UAH250 million allocated to develop armed forces training centers
KIEV, Aug. 1 – UAH 250 million has been allocated for the development of the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, namely the International Peacekeeping and Security Center in Yavoriv, the Shyroky Lan training range and the training center of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has said. |
Six parties would win local elections in Ukraine, poll reports
KIEV, July 30 - If local elections were held in Ukraine next Sunday, six political forces would overcome the 5% qualification threshold to be elected to local government bodies, i.e. the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Batkivschyna, the Opposition Bloc, the Samopomich Association, the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko, and Svoboda, as is seen from a public opinion survey released at the Interfax-Ukraine office on Thursday. |
US will continue to arm and train Ukraine army, ambassador says
KIEV, July 31 – The U.S. will continue to assist Ukraine's economy and to train the country's armed forces, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt said.
"We are going to continue to provide a number of non-lethal systems, including UAVs and Humvees," Pyatt said in an interview with Donbas public TV. |
