KIEV, June 3 ??“ A group of Russian citizens may have been actively involved in the protests trying to prevent a NATO-Ukrainian military exercise in Crimea, a top security advisor to President Viktor Yushchenko said Friday.

NBU reports Business Activity Expectations Index down 2.4 points in April

KYIV, May 2 – The Business Activity Expectations Index (BAEI), calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on a scale from 0 to 100, dropped by 2.4 points in April to 49.4 – 2.9 points below its April 2024 level of 52.3, the regulator reported on its website.

Ukraine denies Russian claim Kyiv hit Kremlin

KYIV, May 3 - Russia claimed it foiled an attack by Ukrainian drones on the Kremlin early Wednesday, calling it an unsuccessful assassination attempt against President Vladimir Putin and promising retaliation for what it termed a “terrorist” act. Denmark to allocate $250-mln aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

KYIV, May 2 – Denmark will allocate the largest aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the amount of DKK 1.7 billion (about $250 million), the Danish Ministry of Defense reports, citing the decision of the Foreign Policy Committee of May 2.


European Commission bans imports of Ukrainian grain through June 5

Ukraine’s forex reserves grow to $35.94-bln, highest level in 11 years

KYIV, May 4 – Preliminary data showed that, as of May 1, Ukraine's international reserves stood at $35.94 billion, the highest level in the past 11 years (last time the reserves exceeded this level in August 2011), the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has reported.
