U.S. says Russia forcibly deports Ukrainians
UNITED NATIONS, Sept 7 - The U.S. said Wednesday it has evidence that “hundreds of thousands” of Ukrainian citizens have been interrogated, detained and forcibly deported to Russia in “a series of horrors” overseen by officials from Russia’s presidency.

Interior minister to focus on border, custody records, firefighting
KYIV, Sept 6 – Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky named the priority projects of the Interior Ministry, namely: construction of the state border, "community police officer," custody records, creation of a European firefighting hub and voluntary fire brigades, "safe school" and digitalization.

Russia, Ukraine clash over Crimea arrest
KYIV, Sept 7 - Russia's FSB security service on Tuesday accused Ukraine of organizing an attack on a gas pipeline in Russian-annexed Crimea, an allegation rejected by Kyiv which said Moscow was trying to punish prominent Crimean Tatar figures, Reuters reported.

Merkel may agree to stop Nord Stream 2
BERLIN, Sept 7 - Chancellor Angela Merkel does not rule out imposing sanctions on a pipeline set to bring Russian gas to Germany in response to the suspected poisoning of a Kremlin critic with a Soviet-style nerve agent, Reuters reported Monday citing her chief spokesman.

EU accounts to 40% of Ukraine’s foreign trade, up from 30% in 2012
KYIV, Sept 7 – The share of the European Union (EU) of Ukraine's foreign trade has reached 40%, President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Recently the [Ukraine-EU] Association Agreement took effect. Thanks to consent of the European Union the year before last to temporarily apply it we can enjoy the preliminary results as growth of our export to the European Union. In particular, in H1 2017, this export grew by 23%, and the EU's share of Ukraine's foreign trade has finally reached 40%," the president said delivering the annual message to the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday.
