KIEV, Dec. 8 – Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and the opposition Regions Party postponed talks over a new coalition following President Viktor Yushchenko’s warning that he may press for an early Parliamentary election.


NBU temporarily bans purchases of currency to finance imports

KIEV, Dec. 8 – The National Bank of Ukraine has temporarily banned the purchase of currency to pay for imports to Ukraine in advance.

The decision is stipulated in NBU resolution No. 413 of Dec. 4, which came into effect from the moment of its signing.
