KIEV, Dec. 10 - The United States on Tuesday condemned the attack by riot police on peaceful Ukrainian protesters holding ground in the center of Kiev and said the Ukrainian authorities will be fully responsible if clashes lead to casualties.

NEW DELHI, Dec. 10 – India is interested in liberalizing its visa regime with Ukraine, Indian Prime Minister of Manmohan Singh said.

"I passed to President Yanukovych some interesting ideas regarding simplified visa travel that could contribute to contacts between businessmen, students, and the peoples of both of our countries," he told journalists after a meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on New Delhi on Monday.
