Ukraine promises to work with UNESCO to protect two national reserves

KIEV, Aug. 11 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny apparently paid for July imports of Russian gas by selling an issue of UAH 18.6 billion in state bonds the state contributed to the national oil and gas company's charter capital.


Naftogaz bonds help lift domestic bonds outstanding UAH18 billion

KIEV, Aug. 11 – The value of outstanding state domestic loan bonds grew from Aug. 3-10 by UAH 18.612 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

Taking into account the initial offering of state domestic loan bonds worth UAH11.59 million over the period, this means that the government earlier issued bonds worth UAH18.6 billion to increase the statutory fund of National JSC Naftogaz Ukrayiny.


Insurance cos cited for leading role in material loss compensation

KIEV, Aug. 12 – According to international practice, insurance companies pay a leading role in the compensation of material losses from natural disaster risks, reducing pressure on the state, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine (LIOU) said in a letter to President Viktor Yuschenko.


Yushchenko, leaders join in Tbilisi rally
