Soros pushes for creation of National Anti-Corruption Bureau

KIEV, Jan. 12 – During his visit to Ukraine, billionaire and investor George Soros met with a number of the country's parliamentarians to discuss the creation of a National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the fight against corruption and the creation of an insurance fund for direct foreign investment, said Hanna Hopko (Samopomich Party), who chairs the Ukrainian parliamentary committee for foreign affairs.


Government to borrow UAH294 billion this year, according to budget

KIEV, Jan. 13 - President Viktor Yanukovych has vetoed a law that would have entitled holders of a 95% stake in a corporation to force minority shareholders to sell their stakes.

The president returned the law with his proposals to Parliament on January 11, Parliament’s press service reported.
