Recovery of Ukrainian economy is insufficient, IMF Resident Rep says
KIEV, Sept. 28 – The restoration pace of the Ukrainian economy is predictable and insufficient, IMF Resident Representative Jerome Vacher said.
The economy has achieved macroeconomic stabilization, the IMF sees a gradual improvement of the economy – an increase of 1.5%, as the IMF predicts for 2016, he said. But it’s a moderate recovery and the IMF would like to see a more sustainable one, he said at a press conference in Kiev. |
MH17 missile was transported from Russia
KIEV, Sept. 28 – The missile that downed flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine was transported from Russia, a criminal inquiry revealed Wednesday, announcing about 100 people were being investigated for playing "an active role" in the disaster, AFP reported. |
Poroshenko meets Merkel, Hollande, Cameron ahead of Normandy meeting

Energy minister balks at winter gas price
KIEV, Sept 28 - Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn indicated on Monday that the price Ukraine was willing to pay Russia for gas supplies in the fourth quarter was less than $228, a price lower than Russia had earlier announced, Reuters reported. |
