KIEV, May 12 – Ukraine is ready to provide the financing of coal companies in 2014 in full, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said at a briefing in Kiev.

"We have funds to fully cover the operation of the coal sector in 2014," the minister said.


Ukraine GDP will drop 6.5% this year, according to ICPS forecast

KIEV, May 12 – Ukraine's GDP will drop by 6.5% in 2014, according to the International Center for Policy Studies.

"The drop in Ukraine’s GDP will be 6.5% in 2014 [taking into account Crimea in the study] If we take into account the annexation of Crimea, and remove the contribution of Crimea in GDP [the regional contribution of Crimea in Ukraine's GDP is 3.7% on average], GDP will drop to over 10%," reads a report on the center's Web site.
