Yatseniuk meets with deputy Senate armed services committee chairman

KIEV, Oct. 28 - Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk on Tuesday held a meeting with U.S. Senator and Deputy U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman James Inhofe during which the two discussed energy security and the strengthening of military cooperation, the Ukrainian government's press service reported.

KIEV, Oct. 26 – Ukraine will not give up its course towards European integration after the parliamentary elections Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Tyhypko said.

"The EU is our way, I'm sure about this. Democratic standards are better there, and the market has more prospects for Ukrainian producers," Tyhypko, who is deputy leader of the governing Regions party, said in an interview with Izvestia newspaper.


Ukraine has continued to lose population in 2012, government reports

KIEV, Oct. 26 – Ukraine's population as of September 1 amounted to 45.559 million people, a natural decrease of 100,764 compared to the beginning of the year, which was partially offset by a migration increase of 26,185, according to the State Statistics Service.
