KIEV, Feb. 3 – The deficit of Ukraine's national budget grew by 20.7% in 2014, to UAH 78.07 billion, the Finance Ministry reported.

"The actual budget deficit in January-December 2014 amounted to UAH 78.07 billion. The actual deficit was 88.1% of the planned annual figure with changes," reads the report.

The ministry said that the indicator includes the issue of government domestic loan bonds to provide subventions from the national budget to local budgets to compensate the difference in the tariffs worth UAH 11.109 billion and the issue of government bonds to refund value added tax declared for refunding before January 1, 2014 worth UAH 6.884 billion.
