KIEV, Jan. 29 – Zaporizhtransformator (ZTR), a large global manufacturer of transformer equipment, has signed a first contract on supply of equipment to Saudi Arabia – with National Grid S.A. (the division of Saudi Electricity Company), which ordered the supply of reserve transformers.

ZTR said on Thursday in decided enter the Saudi Arabian market in 2010. However, due to the fact that the manufacturer was to be included in the list of approved suppliers of Saudi Electricity Company so that the company could buy equipment from the Ukrainian plant, it took a long period of time to pass the prequalification which was completed in early 2014.
